I have replaced my Iphone 5s battery per your video instructions. You left out the part about keeping track of screw sizes and non-magnetic screw. When I power on, the Apple logo appears for 1 minute and ten seconds and disappears for 3 seconds. This continues constantly and cannot be turned off without opening the phone and disconnecting the battery. I have tried to boot with the instructions on your website (which is where I found out about the screws). No luck. I noticed that the battery I ordered from PhonePartWorld.com is part number 616-0728 and the original battery part number is 616-0718. On-line research shows 4 part numbers for the 5s battery and both are supposed to be okay. Is this true? Are you able to tell me what may be wrong? Thank you.
I saw you did’t keep track of the screws, you placed the screws back on for the shield I am guessing? The battery replacement itself went smoothly? the connector fit and no components were knocked off when disconnecting the battery? reseat the connectors for the screen, I believe you took that off by the non-magnetic screw. if the wrong screw went in the wrong place board damage could have been caused.
What was wrong with the old battery, draining fast / shutting down at a certain percentage? Being stuck at apple logo for 1 minute then turning off by itself leads me to believe the iOS firmware on the phone is corrupted, usually either an update fixes it and as a last resort a restore fixes it which would wipe data on the phone. I wouldn’t bother with restore until you have confirmed battery is not the cause. Anyway there is a way to boot without battery staying plugged in. Keep battery plugged in but screen lifted up, home button unplugged and battery metal cover removed. Plug the charger in, when you get apple logo unplug the battery cable, theoretically it should stay on, if it does wait and see if it will boot up. If you turned off the device (and waiting about 10 seconds after turning off) prior to unplugging the battery then the software on the phone should be fine.
