Chosen Solution
After ordering a apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter from an Ebay seller (yes wait for it!) I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a pirate knockoff (no big surprise there). looking at the circuitry it becomes painfully obvious its no apple product, but this raises the question what does a genuine Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter circuit-board look like? I only find pictures of the lightning to 30 pin and lightning to AV circuit-boards? Anyone have a broken or failed genuine product to brake open and take photos? //Erik
This is as close as I could find. It’s not the same adapter but probably very similar “on the inside”.
