The charge port on my Aomais go broke. Is there any teardown guides anywhere? Or has anyone opened one up yet?
The only way i could figure out would work is to get 2 battery traya that hold two 18650 batteries each to replace the 2 double 18650 battery packs already there. This would require modifying the back aide of the case to access them to remove and charge externally. Keep in mind the connections from the battery trays will need to be soldered in place of the existing battery pack connectors. This will also remove any water resistance as well. So it really depends if you really need the water resistance feature or not. Still a great speaker though. I tried just clipping thw end off a micro USB cable and wiring directly in place of the battery connection but that dosent provide the power it needs. Since you have 2 battery packs each putting out 3.7 volts you would need 2 sperate 3.7 volt power supplies, 1 connected to each battery connection (of course now making it less portable). The other best option is buy a new micro USB connector and solder it on. Update (10/09/2020) To open the case you need to remove the rubber pieces to access the 4 screws holding the metal cages on, which gives access to the rest of the screws. Keep in mind just disassembling it will ruin the seal providing the water resistance.
There are 6 screws on the back hidden under little round pieces of rubber. Remove the round rubber with a needle or a tack. 2 on the left, 2 on the right, and 2 on the back of the handle. Remove all. Pry up the back grill (carful not to bend it) there are 8 more screws behind that back grill. Remove all. Once all 14 screws are removed the unit will easily pull apart.
Having the same issue. I disassembled successfully, but the USB port directly mounts to the board, not into a bracket of any kind. Could not figure out how to replace it. Thinking I ruined the board when I took off the old USB port.
